We had the best experience with John! He was extremely helpful. He measured my daughter’s feet and even took her to get them scanned. John helped find her the cutest pink stride rite shoes and I also got a pair of new balances. John was great and the new expanded store is beautiful!! Quality selections with a cute boutique like area as well. They have all different types of athletic, casual and dress shoes, plus nice brands like lululemon and Patagonia! We will definitely be back!

I had a great experience on Tuesday 4/29/25 I was in there for probably an hour or more trying to decide on a good walking shoe and the gentleman who worked with me had great recommendations but due to my timeframe of needing them they did not have the one he truly recommended but I finally purchased a pair of Brooks adrenaline GTS and this is my first pair of Brooks shoes and so far they have not been uncomfortable and I have worked in them all day. Their customer service was great even with the massive storm that we had that evening, they still were very customer servicing and making sure that everyone was ok and staying away from the windows. So I will be back to get the out he recommended and the new portion of the store looks amazing.

The service was great and the shoes I purchased are very comfortable. They actually did not have the shoes I wanted but found the men's size that fut me perfectly. Very satisfied!

Wow! What a classy and rare gem of a store for Altoona! The shoes, clothes, gifts, accessories, even chocolates…. Such a beautiful, unique, and diverse gift shoppe which is so much more than shoes, and unlike anything else in the area. The staff was consistently helpful, too. And…… they carry OluKais! Amazingly supportive sandals.

This is an exceptional shoe store. We were helped by Tyler, the most knowledgeable shoe salesman we have ever worked with. They have certified Pedorthists (google it) on staff that truly understand the anatomy of the foot. My wife was recently diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma and we were able to find wide toe box shoes and learn about the benefits of metatarsal bump inserts to help alleviate the pain. This is the only place in the Western PA area that carries both Lems and Altra shoes (only wish they carried a couple more wide toe box brands like Meindl).

All the staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience. I recently started running again after several years off. Had some knee pain after buying the wrong kind of shoe. The Shoefly staff was patient and very helpful in finding me the right shoe. At first I was hesitant to spend a little more on running shoes, but it was worth it for the insight everyone provided and for finding a shoe that isn’t painful to run in. I will be back.

I have a pretty annoying history of my feet. I have wide square diabetic feet which is not ideal at all. I struggle to find shoes that look good and that are actually good for my feet. 2 months ago I went into shoe fly and purchased Brooks Glycerin 23’s in a 10 wide. I tried them on and they felt good at the store so I thought I was in the clear. A month and a half later I noticed that my feet didn’t like them and I ended up cutting one of my toes from my toes smashing together during a long weekend in Chicago. Fast forward to today I went back into Shoe Fly to find a pair that would work better. I was helped by John who helped measure my feet and gave me a few options to test out and was very patient with me while I tried on numerous pairs of Altras and Brooks shoes. After finding a pair of Altras that worked and felt great. I was blown away that they offered to exchange the brooks shoes that didn’t work for me. I was fully ready to just eat the cost of the brooks shoes in my never ending quest to take care of my diabetic feet. I was not prepared for that level of customer service in 2026. Needless to say I’d give this place more than 5 stars if I could. The experience even inspired me to sit down and actually write a review, something I just don’t take the time to do. Thank you John for all the help today!!!
